Microsoft Will Completely Remove Adobe Flash From Windows 10 in July

Microsoft said it will completely remove Adobe Flash from Windows 10 devices as early as July this year. After installing the mandatory service pack 21H1, more than 1.3 billion computers with the world’s most popular operating system will lose their Flash player once and for all. In addition, in the future, Microsoft will release similar updates for its other current operating systems, such as Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012, and Windows Embedded 8 Standard.

Recall that Adobe itself announced its decision to bury Flash Player back in 2017. But the company stopped supporting the player only at the end of 2020. Then Flash was no longer supported by such browsers as Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 11, and Google Chrome.

Most of today’s resources are phasing out the use of Adobe Flash Player in favor of HTML5-based multimedia. Firstly, it is much secure, and secondly, Flash is slow and heavy. However, many people still use this cumbersome and outdated technology.
