Huawei Has Released Beta Test Of the Exclusive HarmonyOS 2.0 OS

Huawei has launched a closed beta test of the new version of its HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system. This is reported by the Sparrow News portal, which links to articles by some of the popular Chinese bloggers on the Weibo platform. These indicate that several devices from the manufacturer have already started to receive a new version of the firmware.

Updates for the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system range from 2.87 GB to 6.20 GB and vary by model. It is reported that beta testing will intensify this summer and the company plans to expand the sample of users who will be able to download the update. Those who have already received the beta of the firmware note that it places particular emphasis on updated UI design, as well as smoother animation. One of the owners of the Huawei Mate X2 smartphone shared a video demonstrating the fluid change of working screens in the new version of the operating system.

According to Sparrow News, the company has expanded its line of devices that receive the HarmonyOS 2.0 Developer Beta update. Added Mate X2 and Mate 40 series smartphones, Huawei Smart Screen S and Huawei Smart Screen S Pro TVs, as well as P40 and Mate 30 smartphone models and MatePad Pro tablets.

The full list of devices receiving the update now includes 19 devices: Mate X2, Mate40, Mate40E, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro +, Mate 40 RS Porsche Design, Huawei Smart Screen S, Huawei Smart Screen S Pro, P40, P40 Pro, P40 Pro +, Mate 30 4G, Mate 30 Pro 4G, Mate 30 5G, Mate 30 Pro 5G, Mate 30 RS Porsche Design, Mate 30E Pro 5G, MatePad Pro, and MatePad Pro 5G. The company plans to expand it in the future.

Huawei has previously said it is positioning its HarmonyOS as the universal operating system for the Internet of Everything (IoE) era. The operating system will be used in all of the company’s products, from smartwatches to televisions.
